Pinellas Bayway Bridge was dedicated in honor of Medal of Honor Recipient CSM Gary Littrell on Saturday, March 28th, 2015. The bridge's name is now officially CSM Gary Littrell Medal of Honor Bridge.  The Mayor, Maria Lowe, called the bridge it's new nickname ~ The Freedom Bridge!

It was a beautiful windy day and the suspended American Flag was waving in the breeze!  At the dedication ceremony there was also military soldiers who propelled from the top of the bridge, Coast Guard helicopter fly overs and a christening bridge walk with supporting family, friends and residence.  Those who walked over the newly named bridge received their own "Medals of Honor".

In Pass-A-Grille Beach are near 8th Ave the celebration continued with local bands, food, military and rescue vehicles on display as well as an antique car show.

This newly constructed bridge, CSM Gary Littrell Medal of Honor Bridge nicknamed The Freedom Bridge will be a well known and useful landmark for connecting cities St Pete Beach, Pass-a-Grille and St Petersburg.

What a dedication and celebration that many will remember!!
